Dad was a lifelong alkie so I have that overcompensation control thing going on. Slow at work is soooo hard. I can knit in meetings, but that's about it. How's the Oct 14th thing comin'? I have lots of time to plan weekends.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11431508.post-1155841041556396592006-08-17T13:57:00.000-05:002006-08-17T13:57:00.000-05:00Can ya'll write off the booze as a medical expense...Can ya'll write off the booze as a medical expense? ;^)

How about those chocolates with alcohol in them?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11431508.post-1155822477591109942006-08-17T08:47:00.000-05:002006-08-17T08:47:00.000-05:00You and I would get along great - my job is the sa...You and I would get along great - my job is the same way - WHY CAN'T I KNIT AT MY DESK? the time between calls here is excruciatingly long and I sit and surf the web and read blogs about knitting and instruction about knitting and window shop for yarn. So is tidying the stash or in moments of dire need, the wardrobe.
I don't drink either... can't stand the taste of wine / coolers / spirits / beer ..plus I'm a control freak so I don't do anything that would put out of control. When I'm in a situation where I really NEED to be holding [and occasionally imbibing] something alcholic, I go with Bailey's Irish Cream plus ice and a lot of milk. yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm Kahlua and milk/ice is nice too.
I've changed my blogger id cos there's tooo many Susans around herecatsmumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01953101594940806384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11431508.post-1155770761606039762006-08-16T18:26:00.000-05:002006-08-16T18:26:00.000-05:00It's been so long since I had too little to do at ...It's been so long since I had too little to do at work that I don't remember how it affects me. I agree with you completely about work - I'd much rather have "too much" to do than not enough. I sent you an email re/drinking in Wyoming. You really are a good stalker:
1) I have to be doing a million things at work to be happy. It is summer now and my cases have been sleeping for the past two months--zero activity, zero hearings, trials, phone calls, crises, motions, etc and I have been extremely stressed and depressed about work because of this. I know things will pick back up and thank god for knitblogs or I would literally be tearing my hair out.
2) Alcoholism takes a lot of commitment. I've tried.
